{Rue Magazine} Issue #6

The verdict is in - this is my favorite issue, yet!  I am totally in heaven looking at the Singaporean Love Story.  The colors & design aesthetic make my heart skip a beat.

Just some random details from lunch on Monday at The Hurricane Club (excellent food, service not so much) & Rue's launch party at the perfectly edited The New Traditionalists showroom, where I would buy every piece of luxurious furniture if I could.

Rue Issue #3 is here & it's the perfect thing to brighten up this messy snow day the NYC area is having!  They have yet again "upped the ante" by adding in behind-the-scenes videos of the spreads, as well as creating some beautiful photo techniques in the fashion story.  Design & beauty at it's finest!

 I cannot wait to find a reason to wear these Sam Edelman peep toes out!  I think the Rue Magazine Issue #3 Launch party coming up may just be worthy-enough of their debut...

Rue Magazine issue 2

Rue Magazine Issue #2 dropped yesterday and I found myself continuously checking the site until it launched-it was similar to the feeling I used to get when I was a child waiting for X-mas morning.  They definitely outdid themselves, not that I am at all surprised.

I am still kind of dying over Judy & Jane Aldridge's vintage paradise that they call home-the design aesthetic is really like a work of art, just as they intended.  I must devote a good 1 or 2 hours tonight to absorb it all in.  Check it out here.

Sweet Paul Magazine

Along with Rue Magazine, Sweet Paul fills my craving for everything that I love to look at, while bringing me a sense of calm.  The Holiday issue is finally here and the clean layout, craft ideas, recipes and mouth-watering photography actually has me looking forward to the upcoming Holiday season.  Here are a few pages that really grabbed my attention, especially the last one of the chocolate pudding cake. Yum!

One of my (many) obsessions is magazines.  I can't get enough.  About 10 years ago, after ripping up my favorite pages out of the latest Vogue to add to my inspiration box, I realized how silly I was.  From that day on, I started to collect my favorite magazines to keep a better archive of the years that these fashions & designs were taking place.  I now have very heavy stacks of magazines, that is hell to try and pack up each time that I move, but totally worth it.

I am still an avid fan of physically flipping through each and every crisp page and was never a fan of looking at them online.  Until now.  Unless you have been under a rock, you are well aware of the fabulous launch of online magazine Rue.  I really don't have the words to describe it.  It covers every aspect of art that makes my heart skip a beat.  With Bri Emery, creator of Designlovefest, sitting as Art Director, it's really no surprise that the amazing photography is laid out in such a clean, magnificent manner.
