I was just speaking with my co-worker yesterday about the magic of Thank You cards and how such a simple handwritten note found in one's mailbox can really brighten their day.  They really are underrated and aren't sent nearly enough! These Thank You cards from Quill & Fox Design are an extra something special to the gesture.

Since my visit to Portland last Fall, I always stay up with OMFG's branding projects.  They do a fantastic job at creating the vibe of restaurants through each and every detail and one of their latest jobs with Natural Selection is no less brilliant than the others.

I am not ready to unveil my apartment design yet [it's just not 'there' yet], but I AM ready to share two of the items that kicked off my living room theme.  While wandering around the Brooklyn Flea in October with a friend, we were truly taken by she hit pause studios polaroid photography.   I kept staring at this one washed-pink one that had a very faded image of surfers walking behind a fog. What really sold me on the piece was Matt's passion & story about the photo when he spoke.  

And of course, every photo needs a friend, so I purchased the girl behind lace to accompany it.

A very creative friend of mine just sent out her invitations for her upcoming nuptials and I can't believe she made them herself!  Her wedding is going to be in an old power plant/warehouse in Philly, her best friend is creating her wedding dress....all I can say is that I cannot wait until her special day to see how everything is pulled together!!

Rue Magazine issue 2

Rue Magazine Issue #2 dropped yesterday and I found myself continuously checking the site until it launched-it was similar to the feeling I used to get when I was a child waiting for X-mas morning.  They definitely outdid themselves, not that I am at all surprised.

I am still kind of dying over Judy & Jane Aldridge's vintage paradise that they call home-the design aesthetic is really like a work of art, just as they intended.  I must devote a good 1 or 2 hours tonight to absorb it all in.  Check it out here.
