The ripple effect

I am now spending my days in the world of luxury condominiums & real estate in Manhattan. Quite thrilling, though, it may become depressing once I start looking for an apartment of my own. One of the buildings in my radar is the magnificent New York by Gehry apartment building in downtown (8 Spruce Street), located south of the Brooklyn Bridge, that is going to be opening in the next few months.

Named after the acclaimed architect Frank Gehry (works include the Guggenheim in Spain, Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA and the Vitra Design Museum in Germany), the building showcases ripples, similar to the Statue of Liberty's gown, but in steel.  What's incredible about these ripples is that the rooms actually mimic the outside architecture, making unique spaces throughout the building.  I can go on and on about why it's so amazing, but I will let the images speak for themselves.
