There really is a nothing more refreshing than understated simplicity sometimes.  These pieces from Slowwood Designs look simple, but each piece is actually handmade by local craftsmen in the Netherlands and leave a minimal impact on the earth.

Made of New York Furniture Collection is crafted of discarded Manhattan lumber & built into gorgeous one-of-a-kind pieces using as few machines as possible.  The collection was created by a former creative director of Ikea Sweden, John-Michael Ekeblad, furniture designer Jonathan Locke and timber-sourcing expert Brian Kane, all done in their South Bronx studio.  These naturally worn masterpieces are available online at NewYorkCitysnaps.

Love for the Apartment

I just moved into my new place and pretty much have my own studio within the already large apartment I share with two others.  So, needless to see, I have been pulling out some images I have been saving for this special moment.
