{end of an era} Stefani Pilati's finale

So bitter sweet.  Yves Saint Laurent's master genius for the last 7 years presented his final runway show yesterday during Paris Fashion Week's Fall 2012 Collections.  Just because it was his last, though, doesn't mean it was any less spectacular than before.  The darker tone definitely seemed fitting, with accents of leather, constricted waists, baring cuts and the luxurious tailoring fans of YSL have come to expect.  A more sophisticated version of s&m, if you will.

I don't know about you, but after seeing what Pilati did with such an iconic Parisian fashion house over the years [Muse bag + Tribute heels ring a bell?], I am looking forward to watching his next steps and creations...

Photos: DVF, Refinery29.com, YSL.com, Shopbop.com, Net-a-porter.com

I can just imagine all of those items together now....how fantastic that you can mix all of these items together for Fall, and separate them for the Spring!
1.Diane Von Furstenburg Bolo leather skirt (I saw someone wearing it in brown yesterday with a great black rosette top & almost died)
2. Vena Cava nails at New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011
4. Tory Burch Eddie beaded flats
6. H&M long-sleeved sheer blouse (only $12.95!)
