{side by side} Pinterest curations

Have you ever been scrolling through your Pinterest feed and started to notice that there are a lot of different types of imagery that flows into one another? I had someone mention that part of my feed showed image after image connecting through the colors, details, or even composition, creating an almost ombré affect. I'd like to take full credit of that, but most of the time when that happens it's unintentional and just beautiful moments in time, organically coming together before my eyes.

I usually only do one 'side by side' at a time [sampling here, here and here], but these were all speaking to me and I just couldn't choose...

{editorial} The Row Pre-Fall 2014

As years go on, I am rarely impressed with designer collections or the fashion campaigns that follow. Everything seems the same and some brands are so obsessed with trying to be different, they completely forget who they are or who their audience is.  A hodge podge of marketing ensues.

And then a brand like The Row presents a collection that is so simple, yet so on brand, it's genius.  I think it says a lot at how powerful something like choosing real women [the women who can and do actually buy the pieces] can make such an impact.  They are telling a story with a solidified voice, which, is kind of the point of it all.  Yes?

Banana Republic just launched their newest capsule collection today with the fab L'Wren Scott, and I have to say, I'm really loving some of these Limited Edition pieces.  The design aesthetic is totally on brand, but with a touch of extra glamour that is perfect for the Holiday season that seems to have come out of no where.  

And man, that head to toe Peony Print look is really calling out to me...

There is something magically beautiful about the simplicity of this editorial spread in the Hong Kong edition of Harper's Bazaar.  The red lips and fingerling waves are the perfect juxtaposition against the hard outfits.
