{style} safari colors with FEED India x Rachel Roy

Maybe it's the fresh hair color, maybe it's the color combination of everything together, but there is something about this dress that just makes everything else pop on me.  I love wearing it so much, to the point that I have to make mental notes of when I wore it so my coworkers don't think it's the only thing that I own.

Speaking of love, this FEED India x Rachel Roy tote has been a staple in my wardrobe this summer.  It's lightweight, has a great print & those tassels just make the 13 year old in my extremely happy.  Oh, and do you see that big "100" on it?  That means that FEED has been able to hand out 100 meals to hungry school children in India.  I gotta say, that's truly the best kind of shopping out there.

{photo diary} Banana Republic Holiday 2013 Presentation - Men

What else is there to say about a well dressed dapper man other than, there is nothing better than a well dressed dapper man.  Banana Republic's Presentation also represented the men [with a more than gorgeous model/server, but I digress] with The Black and White Shop and The Apres Ski Shop.

There were a few usual suspects like plaid, fairisle + cord, but what really took it to the next level were the leather, gingham + camo details.  Each + every man in attendance was coveting the camo tie, which seems simple on its own, but once it tops a classic skinny suit with shiny lapels, it was a serious game-changer.

{photo diary} Banana Republic Holiday 2013 Presentation - Women

I know, I know, you are thinking that it is only July + it is too soon to think about Holiday.  BUT, what if I told you this holiday was going to be filled with shimmering metallic, layered animal prints + candy colored baubles?

Banana Republic + Simon Kneen showcased their Holiday 2013 Presentation last week + they did not disappoint.  Season after season the brand has a way of keeping to their classic, tailored lines that consumers can come to expect, but always kick it up with simple surprises that delight + infiltrate the senses.  The cobalt leathers, bright jewels, leopard spots + knit beanies tell us one thing - start saving your money now!

{style} canadian tuxedo

Is it ironic, or just some kind of heightened subconscious shit that got me to wear a Canadian tuxedo on a day that happens to be Canada Day

{good eats} french macaron ice cream sandwich at Francois Payard Bakery

While hundreds of New Yorkers are still on line for a glimpse of the Cronut, I'm continuing to explore other treasures.  And what do ya know, there is another gem just 5-mins North from my office - a french macaron ice cream sammie within the walls of the Francois Payard Bakery on Houston.

Like everything else, why haven't more people thought of this!?!?!  Obviously, the macaron shell is slightly less crisp coming out of the freezer, but it's still the perfect shell atop a tender interior.  I went with the raspberry sorbet/pistachio combo for now.  Don't worry, I'll go back + try the others.

{on the street} Menswear + PFW

While I stick to my opinion that majority of street style during the shows has turned into the attention seekers similar to the Grammys' red carpet, there are still some legit men & women out there that are dressed to the T.  Case in point, the European shows.
