Laughter makes the world go 'round {Dumbo}

This past Sunday was a beautiful day on all levels-the sun was shining, the weather reached over 70* in the NYC and I spent the day laughing with my dear friend Ruth in DUMBO.  You know those simple days?  We had a great Mexican brunch with mojitos on a rooftop overlooking the city, strolled along the cobblestones and topped it off with Jacques Torres Chocolate's choc chip cookie (layers and layers of goodness) and "wicked" frozen hot chocolate (the wicked is for the cayenne in the delicious concoction). 


As you will see, she makes me giggle.  I don't know why, she just brings it out....

Rust Never Sleeps

So, I shared with you awhile back that the amazing artist, Andrew Ricci, had recreated a few of my images from Allaire State Park with oil paints.  Well, his piece "Rust Never Sleeps" is going to be on display in NYC this Friday at Our Silent Canvas-Echo the Movements!  I have yet to see it in person-I can't wait!

The MoMA has a really great new advertising campaign featuring what people see at the museum.  Usually a company would only show the positive feedback, but they couldn't pass up sharing this 'review' from Annabelle on their Facebook page- she is not impressed with the MoMA as a Museum!

B&D Wedding

A very creative friend of mine just sent out her invitations for her upcoming nuptials and I can't believe she made them herself!  Her wedding is going to be in an old power plant/warehouse in Philly, her best friend is creating her wedding dress....all I can say is that I cannot wait until her special day to see how everything is pulled together!!

Perfectly Suited

For the first time in years, I am actually excited to go swimsuit shopping!  These retro styles are so much fun-while they may not the ideal tanning piece, the femininity of the two-piece is too cute to pass up.
